Abstract

The solid waste management in the District of Abidjan is problematic because the funds raised do not seem to cover the costs of the industry. This study proposes to analyze the acceptability of the incentive fee removal of garbage from households. To do this, a survey was conducted among 300 households distributed evenly between the Yopougon and Cocody. The results of the study indicate that 75% of households are willing to pay based on the weight of waste they produce. Compared to the TEOM, the REOM is an important source of funding management system garbage. In addition, the REOM is much more important in Yopougon (2281 FCFA) than the Cocody (1875 FCFA) because the production of garbage in Yopougon is the largest in the District of Abidjan.
