Abstract

This cogitation on the infant diarrhea in rural community of Ivory Coast is an interface between social perception abidji of the infant diarrheas and their medical taking care. This disease is variously perceived and treated in this community. As regards the knowledge of the diarrhea, the repetition of saddles is the common point between modern medicine and childcare abidji. However, according to social etiologies, they can differentiate four types of infant diarrheas to this community. It is diarrheas linked to natural elements, to diseases, to growth and to interpersonal relations. These different types of diarrheas can understand several forms. This multiform character of the diarrhea of the child to Abidji orientates the treatment which is principally based on the traditional medicine therapeutic means of which remains in most cases the triad, curative plants, prayer and gesture.
