This study assessed the relationship between the body aesthetic model (publicity influence and discomfort with body image), feeding practices related to food and the (BMI) body mass index in a sample of students from a public elementary school and a private, from fifth and sixth grade of Pachuca, Hidalgo (n = 191), and their mothers. The Questionnaire of Attitudes, Beliefs and Feeding Practices of Parents towards Infant Feeding and the Multidimensional Instrument for Measuring Risk associated Factors to Eating Behavior Disorders in Mexican Puberties. Generally it is claimed that there are significant relationships between the aesthetic model body, BMI and feeding practices related to food. Through ANOVA´s analysis identified significant differences by sex and type of school (public or private). It is concluded that the body aesthetic model of school children and mothers feeding food practices are associated with BMI.Downloads
