This study investigated reality orientation in the reduction of symptoms of depression among women in community mental health center, Aro-Abeokuta. Eighty (80) women whom were discharged temporarily from psychiatric hospital Aro- Abeokuta to community mental health center for further observation participated in this study. Depression symptoms questionnaire (DSQ) developed by the investigator was the instrument used to collect data for the study. The posttest outcome confirmed that reality orientation approach could lead to reduction in the symptoms of depression among women and enhanced well being of the subjects.Downloads
