Abstract

The evaluation of the competence of teachers in higher education is a crucial aspect in today's societies. Given the Importance of the teacher's competence development has on the performance of Their Work and, above all, in the learning and development of their students, there is now the need for a complex task That Involves intense knowledge, skills, actions and Commitments to innovation of professional profiles of teachers. That requirement drives and processing routes That requires school systems for quality assurance, Which are Necessary for Institutional Strengthening Strategies Aimed at teachers. They Conducted a quantitative study in order to Identify the competencies relate That academics, as essential to job performance and training of students at the University of Sonora. We Applied a questionnaire to a sample of 86 teachers Residing in the State of Sonora, Mexico. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS version 18.0. The data found show a Cronbach's Alpha 878 Which Indicates a high level of reliability, Were Obtained in the analysis mean, median, mode, and standard deviation.
